Orly came to my store with her father to look for a birthday gift for herself, a new piece of jewelry. They were immediately drawn to my tiger head pendant, even though her father kept getting confused and calling it a cat ๐ผ, which became a small running joke between us.
I didn't have a suitable gourmet chain for the tiger. I asked Orly if she happened to have anything at home, and she told me she had a few necklaces she inherited from her late mother that were very dear to her heart.
We decided together that she would come back with the necklaces, and we would choose the one that would match the pendant. And so it was. Orly returned to the store, and together we chose the perfect chain. She also asked me to set gray diamonds in the tiger's eyes, so it would look a little more like a cat ๐บ, as she said with a smile.
During the work, I discovered that the old chain we chose had oxidized over the years and had acquired a strong, overly shiny golden hue. So I gently cleaned it and used a special brush that gives a matte finish, to match the pendant's tone. (Don't try this at home) Along the way, I also repaired a few laser breaks, remnants of the chain's long wanderings, and in the end, an impressive necklace emerged that unites moving vintage with a modern and polished look.
Orly loved the result very much, and since then, she hasn't taken the necklace off her neck. And you, what do you think?
